The contract on my old cell phone expired right before I left the States to attend UNBC for a semester. Good timing, eh? For the longest time, I’ve been mulling over in my head which cell phone I’d be getting next. With the release of both the iPhone 3G and the T-Mobile G1, I was really disappointed to find that I couldn’t afford my own plan away from Sprint (I was on a family plan with the parents).
Then there was word of the Palm Pre. You have no idea how happy this news made me. I would no longer have to settle for what I felt to be a sub-par smartphone (Palm’s earlier stuff didn’t really entice me and I’m prejudiced against WinMo). I’ve been lusting after this phone ever since it was announced that it was in the works. According to Engadget, it’s still on track for release during the second quarter of the year, so anywhere between April and June. I come home at the end of April, so even if it hasn’t been released before then, I hopefully won’t have to wait for long.
Thank you, Sprint.
