academia

To quote a certain Larry Hubatka:  “Asian parents love the school systems.”

It’s true.  My parents moved to the neighborhood in live in now because my high school had awesome ratings (whatever that means) and it’s 20 minutes away from Winthrop University.

I didn’t make straight A’s in high school and my cumulative GPA so far isn’t a four-oh.  I’ve always been a slacker and a procrastinator.  After all, schoolwork isn’t usually something to get excited about doing.

Aside from having to do exams and papers, I do like academia.  I’ve been lucky (or perhaps blessed) to have some really awesome professors.  College has also been a great excuse for me to put off being a responsible adult.  Gotta love those student loans.

On the flip side of that, though, I really want to get that degree and graduate so I can go out in the world and actually do something…and you’d better believe that I’ll be pursuing that dream that’s destined to fail without divine intervention.
