some things in life don’t need a manual

Here’s my problem with books on leadership or “how to run a successful business venture”:  They outline methods that have already been done.  They worked, but they’ve been done.

What’s already “tried and true” isn’t good enough anymore.

Break the mold.  Do something radically different.

It might just be crazy enough to work.

Just don’t go and publish a book about it afterwards.

Sometimes I think the book IS another business venture. I mean it's about an old successful business, and I think some lessons can be applied. But perhaps it's successful people using their success to pry out $14.95 from those less successful.

I suppose they're rich enough that if the book is a flop, it won't put too much of a dent in their wallet.
