pretty good music artist you probably haven’t heard of #7 – Paul Dateh

by Vy on 9 June 2009

I discover most indie artists by proxy of another indie artist that I already follow (on Twitter, Facebook, etc.).  In this particular instance, I learned about Paul Dateh through a small collaboration he did with David Choi.  If you follow me on Twitter, you probably saw me tweet about this more times than you cared to read about it.

Paul’s basically a classical violinist gone rogue.  When he got to college, he dropped 14 years of classical training so he could dive head first into the realms of jazz studies.  I could ride on the waves of his smooth violin-playing skillz all day.  Srsly.

Wow. I love the second video. :>
The first one is just weird sounding to me, but it's definitely a unique style.
